Watershed School has a new 7/8th grade teacher
We are excited to announce that Sam Chamberlain has accepted the position as our new 7th/8th social studies and language arts teacher. Mr. Chamberlain brings to Watershed School a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm.
Mr. Chamberlain grew up in Stafford County, Virginia. Upon completing his degree at the University of West Virginia, he served as U.S. Army Captain, Corps of Engineers, from 2005-2010. His responsibilities ranged from combat platoon leader to human resources specialist.
For the past two years Sam taught as a 5-12th grade secondary generalist teacher in Arctic Village, Alaska. While language arts and social studies are Sam's primary areas of expertise, he taught as many as seven different subject areas while in this rural teaching setting.
In addition to his teaching expertise in the classroom, Mr. Chamberlain is a runner, skier, climber, cyclist, and photographer. He is looking forward to helping out with Watershed School's running, skiing, and biathlon programs.
